Located just 50 minutes from Agadir airport, this delightful town, founded in the 11th Century, has distinctive red ramparts surrounding the entire old town. Formerly a seat of local power under the control of various dynasties, the town is presently known for its production of olives and argan oil, as well as the manufacture of handicrafts.With its attractive Medina and busy souk it is now an ideal destination for either a short stay or for a longer break. It is a short drive to Agadir and the coastal beaches.The Massa Nature Reserve and the rock paintings around Tafroute are also easily accessible.
